Today I was cheered up by being able to do a trikonasana without my knackered knee giving way, utthita hasta padangusthasana without too much pain and a sphinx pose for a whole 5 seconds before my gammy arm gave up and I landed unceremoniously on my face.  Even supta baddha konasana didn't hurt my sciatic nerve as much as I thought it would!

Full contact battle yoga?

My memory is rubbish at remembering names and terms, so my yoga tends to rely on words that I can remember. There's one pose standing on one leg with your arms out that I call Pigeons in Flight after a John Shuttleworth song.
Comedy, love, and a bit with a dog. That's what they want.

This isn't Hansard, it's just passing time and hanging out. Why do people have to be so overwrought about it?

I cut the end off a toe doing Yoga. Dangerous stuff and best avoided.

Apparently I'm the only one in our group who actually remembers the sanscrit terms for the poses and everyone else relies on a description and a photo of what they look like when doing the pose correctly.

Not sure what pose you're referring to Greedykitten, but it's not one that I do in my therapeutic routine (but then again there are thousands of poses and variations of poses).  I'm an Iyengar convert, so we do half a dozen poses over an hour and a half, but we do them very VERY carefully.

I've had a decent nights sleep for the first time in weeks and now I'm going to cook a fry up.

The Doctor.

I don't get the connection. And isn't lactose intolerance much more common in Asia where Yoga came from?

I made myself scallops (the chippy kind in batter) and battered mushrooms last night for tea. Then scooped up the scraps. So bad. Yet So GOOD  :icon_mrgreen:

Don't worry, be happy
