The hopster threads are hilarious. Grumpy old men complaining about young people not drinking what they're drinking and if they do they complain about what they wear

What does hopster mean? Is it a reference to hipsters and their taste for hoppy craft ales?

Exactly that. Also their constant oneupmanship of drinking obscure brews and knowing everything about it but maintaining a facade of just being a regular bloke while crying about people who drink anything that is not 'craft', 'real', 'artisan' or 'seasonal'
