I think Les always wore a wig before this in any case. No hairdresser was able to do the spike after about 1996.

Just in case you thought that anything we say or do in our lives means anything. Watch this and think again:

He's thrown a kettle over a pub, what have you done?

TV has come a long way since the late Roy Castle and his beyond-pedestrian Record Breakers in 1974.

Here the also-late Cozy Powell attempts a particularly pointless and arbitrary "record". He has to hit 400 drums in one minute

The whole thing has a kind of half-arsed after-school Blue Peter feel about it. We are clearly on the brink of the technological revolution here as Castle is at pains to point out the new-fangled digital timer in the corner of the screen and the overhead cameras watching Cozy's every move   :hihi:

Thankfully the days of rock 'virtuosity' are long gone. I saw Cozy Powell play once and it was an awful experience.

I didn't know he was dead till now.

He was another victim of technology. In 1994 he was talking to his bird by mobile phone while driving his Saab 9000 at 104 mph in bad weather on the M4. He wasn't wearing a seatbelt.

You can guess the rest.  :|

And was well over the limit too. I suppose that can be blamed on fermentation technology.

That was old technology, though. In 1994 a mobile phone was still relatively new technology.  :|

Pluralising the names of footballers for absolutely no reason. I love it!
